Why I Don't Edit Photos

It is not a secret and I have said it a million times. I do not like to use any photo editing software on my photos. Sometimes I may crop a picture or change the picture into black and white, but that is the extent of it. It is not because I don't have the software for it or afraid to use that software. I have worked with both Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom and feel fairly comfortable inside of both. The fact is simple, I do not edit my photos simply because I do not want to.
When I take a picture, and the colors are good along with its composition, I don’t feel like I need to do anything to it. Don’t get me wrong, photos that have been edited can and do look amazing, I just don’t feel like I should have to enhance the green in a tree’s leaves for my picture to be perfect.
I also strongly believe that my pictures are a capture of a moment in time. For me to alter those pictures would feel like I was changing that moment. When it comes cropping out dead flowers flowing in the wind, I simply don't want to. I had a vision when I took the photo and editing the photo takes away my original vision.
